This SEAG webinar brought together a wealth of practical advice on how to use photography, websites, and networking to enhance your alpaca business’s online presence. Whether you’re breeding for fibre, running farm experiences, or selling products, the session was full of applicable tips for making your herd more visible and your enterprise more professional.
What was covered?
- Photography tips to capture your alpacas at their best (hint: avoid harsh midday light and don’t be afraid to sit in the mud!).
- Website essentials, from domain names and hosting to content, branding and SEO, we explored how to build or improve your online presence without needing to be a web designer.
- The power of networking, including how local business groups, social media platforms, and regional farming events can help boost awareness and credibility for your brand.
The webinar was presented by Wasim Muklashy, a professional photographer and videographer based in Oregon.
Wasim has photographed everything alpaca from a vicuna chaccu in Peru to high end sales and breeding stock portraits and profiles for some of the United States’s top alpaca operations, including Flying Dutchman Alpacas, Heritage Farm Suri Alpacas, AOA’s Innovative Fleece Assessment (IFA), Oakwood Gardens & Alpacas, and Quechua Benefit, a non-profit providing economic empowerment and medical services to impoverished indigenous communities in the Andes.
Thanks again to Wasim for his generosity in sharing his time and talent.
